Last week, students in our school went on a long hike, in which we covered over 20 kilometers. During the long trip, we passed mountains and lakes, enjoying some great scenery. We also chatted a lot and took some pictures.
When we came across a wet muddy road in the middle of the way, I slipped down onto the ground with my leg dirty and injured. One of my roommates came up to me without a second thought and helped me out of the embarrassing situation. I was deeply moved by his behavior and I will never forget his helping hand!
This experience will be an unforgettable moment in my life. His action always inspires me to help people when they are in trouble. I firmly believe that a small good deed can make a big difference to others. What an unforgettable hike and what a beautiful memory!

Last week, students of our school went on a 20-kilometer hike, during which we overcame tiredness and other difficulties as well as admiring beautiful scenery along the road.
On the way, I tripped over a stone and sprained my ankle severely. With so much pain, I couldn’t rise to my feet. Then, out of expectation, a classmate I had quarreled with rushed to my rescue. He helped me stand up and, realizing my inability to walk on, carried me on his back. Seeing his T-shirt soaked in sweat, I was greatly touched by his kindness.
This experience is of great significance to me. Not only did it exercise us physically, but, more importantly, it helped me realize what true friendship means.
