In many countries, life expectancy is getting longer, and many middle-aged children are taking care of their elderly parents. This can be very difficult because elderly parents often need somebody to be with them all the time. Children can feel that they are losing their privacy(隐私, 独处). If they decide to put their parents in a nursing home, they feel ashamed(羞愧的) because they think it is their duty to care for them, as their parents took care of them when they were children.

In China, elderly parents usually stay with their children. Children become their caretakers. In this situation, they only have to provide companionship for their parents for a few hours a week or whenever their parents ask them to go to some place with them.

When asked what they most like to eat, teenagers in the UK will say that foods like pizza, burgers and chips are their favorite.
