The Great Wall of China is by far mankind's largest building. In the 16th and 17^th centuries, it snaked 6, 400 kilometers or 4, 000 miles across northern China.Below are the four most visited Great Wall locations. All are near and north of Beijing:

Badaling:

    This is by far the most popular Great Wall of China site for travelers, mainly because it is close to Beijing and is much easier to climb than the other parts. The Badaling part was built around 500 years ago and was rebuilt by the Chinese government over the last few decades.

Mutianyu

    It is an hour farther away from Beijing than Badaling.  This is a favor-the extra travel time means that fewer vacation tour groups will travel here.  This site is excellent.The wall is clearly steeper than Badaling's. However, like Badaling, Mutianyu has a cable car（缆车） for tourists who choose not to walk up the wall.

Simatai

    You must travel yet another hour to reach the site from Beijing compared with Mutianyu  and, therefore, you will meet even fewer vacationers than at Mutianyu.  Some of the wall lies on high and narrow mountain ridges (脊). Because it is especially steep and there is no cable car, I don’t suggest the site to those not in good physical condition.

Shixiaguan

    This is the closest part to Beijing. The Shixiaguan part is still being rebuilt is open to the public. You can view it as driving to the Badaling part. You can climb it but remember that the Shixiaguan wall sits on a long, very steep slope(斜坡).

    China showed its first-ever passenger jet plane built and designed by the country today to the public-C9lg aircraft（飞行器）．

    The narrow-body plane is designed to seat 168 passengers, and has a standard flight range  of 2,532 miles (4, 075 kilometers) ,  which means the aircraft can fly non-stop from Shanghai to Kuala Lumpur or from New York City to Los Angeles.

    A grand ceremony (仪式)  was held in COMAC's brand new factory in Pudong,Shanghai, to celebrate what Chinese experts are calling “a great moment”.

    The made-in-China aircraft will make its first flight next year and then begin test flights for about three years before being put into business use.

    COMAC chairman Jin Zhuanglong said the plane is expected to have its first test flight in 2016, which means it missed the planned date of 2015.

    So far, a total of 517 aircrafts have been ordered by 21 customers home and abroad.

The country's civil aviation chief Li Jiaxiang said, “China's air transport industry cannot completely rely on buying from other countries. A great nation must have its own large commercial aircraft.”

  As well as hundreds of industry experts at the ceremony, there were celebrities to show support, including retired Chinese sportsman Liu Xiang.

  China has dreamed of building its own civil aircraft since the 1970s. Y-lO, a four-engine passenger jet plane, started developing in 1970. But the development was stopped by the central government for some reasons in 1986, Only three Y-lOs were ever made.

  Although the C919 is made in China, foreign companies are playing key roles by

supplying systems as well us the engines, which are made by CFM International.

Making the most of living abroad

  Moving abroad can be a challenging experience. You enter a new culture where the customs and sometimes the language are different   36   It’s a time to discover new things, make new friends and begin a new adventure.

  I now work as a language assistant in Lyon, France. To feel at home in France I involve myself in the culture as much as possible.  37   As you know, it isn't hard to find other English speakers and make friends with people that have the same or similar cultural customs to me. So what are the best ways to make yourself part of the new culture while living abroad?

  Live with a native (本地的) speaker

    38   Firstly, you have a friend！ I've also had the chance to meet my house mate's
